Cordie hasn't said a word since we got in the car. Pulling into the parking lot of our adventure for the night, I can't keep the smile off my face. Knowing my brother is a lying, cheating scum, I don't feel bad about taking his girlfriend away for an overnight trip. Fuck it. If Malcolm is going to be a douchebag, I'm going to do everything I can to make this woman smile.

And hell or high water, I'll be there to pick her up when she finds out about my stupid brother's indiscretions.

Turning the car off, Cordie looks over at me. I give her a huge smile before hopping out and getting our bags out of the trunk. When I come up to her side of the car, she has the door open, but she's still sitting in the car. Hooking the bag straps over my shoulder, I lean down enough to take her hand in mine and pull her from the car.

She takes a step past me and looks around at the welcome center in front of us and the cabins off in the distance. Not too far beyond that welcome center is the river. "Liam, what is this?"

Stepping up next to her, I smile. "Welcome to Big Easy Swamp Adventures."

She laughs, and the sound makes my heart beat faster, and my dick twitches. God damn, I love being the person that gets her to make those sounds. "What are we doing here?"

"Well, Cher, I'm taking you on a Sunset Booze Cruise." I reach down and take her hand in mine again and walk toward the welcome center. We've only got fifteen minutes to pick up the tickets I ordered while walking back to my place earlier, throw our bags in the room, and get on the boat.

"What in the hell is a booze cruise?" She chuckles as she leans toward me.

"Don't worry, Cher. You're going to love it."

We step into the Welcome Center and quickly order our tickets. Our cabin for the night is right across from the welcome center, so Cordie waits out front while I jog over and toss our bags in. I can't take my eyes off her as I walk back over.

Her hair’s in a messy bun, and she's wearing leggings so tight it looks like she painted them on. It's hard not to run my hands over every fucking curve. She's also wearing a thin, oversized sweater that hangs off her one shoulder, and all I can imagine is trailing my lips across her skin.

As I halt in front of her, she smiles up at me, and my heart stops. Fuck, I want to kiss her again. I reach up and cup the side of her face, damn near losing all my self-control when she closes her eyes and leans into my touch.

"Come on, Cher. Before I do something stupid."

Her eyes pop open, and the hunger dancing in them is so damn obvious, I can't help but think of how fucking stupid my brother really is.
